Troubleshooting: a widget doesn't show

Check these in order when a Product List Widget doesn't appear in your theme or cart drawer.

Check in this order

App embed is off. A banner on Product List Widgets says "Activate the app embed to show product lists on your storefront". Click Activate and turn on Oxify: Cart Upsell & Gift. Without it no widget loads anywhere. The check looks at your published theme.
Widget is Inactive. Turn on its Status switch. Only Active widgets reach the storefront.
Save didn't reach the storefront. Look for "Your change was saved, but the storefront could not be updated." Save again.
Wrong Widget ID. The theme block needs the exact ID. In the theme editor a red dashed note says "no active widget found". A deleted widget gives the same note.
Not placed. A widget with no block and no cart placement never shows.
The source found nothing. The widget is hidden when its list is empty:
- Related or Complementary on a page that isn't a product page, or in the cart drawer.
- Recently viewed for a visitor with no history.
- Manual with only sold-out or unavailable products, or a collection with none.
- Every product is already in the cart (cart drawer) or excluded.
Cart drawer placement. The cart must have items. The placement must be on (eye icon) and saved in the Cart Editor.
Custom template with an error. It hides the widget. Switch it off to test.

Changes don't show in the theme editor. Reload the editor.
"Hide products already in the cart" does nothing in a theme block. It works in the cart drawer only.
Savings label missing. Check Show compare-at (original) price and that the product has a higher compare-at price.
No ratings. Judge.me must be installed. Quoli doesn't show ratings in a widget.
Fewer products than the maximum. Sold-out, duplicate and excluded products are removed.
