Widget — Text

The Text widget is a simple heading + body block. Use it to add context, social proof, or a brand voice paragraph above or between other widgets. A new offer starts with one Text widget (Text / Heading in the offer page's Widgets list, Text in the editor), and you can add more with Add widget → Text.

Configuration

Heading

Rich text editor with inline formatting: bold, italic, strikethrough, font size, text color, alignment and links, plus Clear all styling. At the end of the toolbar, click the {discount} or {product} button to insert that token. {first-name} (the buyer's first name, left blank if Shopify doesn't have one) also works when you type it.

Body text

Same as the heading but for paragraph text. Multiple paragraphs supported.

Top padding and Bottom padding

Sliders from 0 to 10 (in steps of 2) to control spacing relative to surrounding widgets.

Formatting on the live post-purchase page is simpler than in the editor: font sizes are matched to the nearest of four sizes, text colors are approximated by red, green or orange (any other color shows as normal text), and italics appear as italic-style characters.

How to edit or remove it

1. In the Oxify app, open Post Purchase, open a funnel, and click Edit offer on the offer on the Upsells tab.
2. Click Preview Offer, then click Text under Offer-level widgets in the left pane.
3. Edit the settings. To remove the widget, click Delete Widget at the bottom of its panel.
4. Click Done, then save the offer.

Common uses

• "Wait — one more thing" attention-grabber above the product info.
• Social proof: "Our customers love {product}". ({product} is the title of the product being offered.)
• Personalized greeting: "Hi {first-name}, here's an exclusive deal".
• Brand voice paragraph adding context to the upsell.
