Results and analytics

Where to see how your offers perform, what each number means, how often it refreshes and what the alerts say.

Where to look

  • Checkout Offers (Beta) page. The Overview shows four cards for all your offers together: Revenue from offers, Orders with offers, Offer visits and Revenue per visit. Each compares with the period right before. Pick Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days or Last 90 days in Date range (it starts at 30 days), and click View analytics to go deeper. Below, the offers table has Shown, Conversion and Revenue columns for every offer.
  • An offer's own page. Once an offer has gone Live, a Results card sits at the top of its page, with its own date range, a daily chart and a Refresh link.
  • Analytics → Checkout tab. The Oxify Analytics page has a Checkout tab with all offers together. Use the Offer filter (All offers or one offer) and Compare to previous period. It shows Revenue, Shown, Revenue per visit, Add rate, Orders, Items sold, Revenue per order and Average offer value, then a Top performing offers table. Offers you have deleted still count in the totals, in one Deleted offers row. In that table, revenue, orders, items sold and add rate are filled in for product upsells and add-ons; for other types open the offer to see its results.
  • Key metrics on the Analytics page. Checkout offer revenue appears as Checkout offers revenue and is part of Total App Revenue.

What the numbers mean

NumberWhat it counts
ShownCheckouts where the offer was visible. Each checkout counts once, even if the buyer reloads. An offer hidden by a spot limit or with nothing to show isn't counted.
AddedCheckouts that added an item from the offer. Two products added from the same offer in one checkout count once. Add rate is Added divided by Shown.
OrdersPlaced orders that include at least one item from the offer. An order with items from two offers counts once in the totals.
RevenueWhat buyers paid for items added from offers, after all discounts, in your store currency. It comes from placed orders only, so an item added and then removed earns nothing.
Items soldThe number of offer items in those orders.
Revenue per visitRevenue divided by Shown.
Revenue per orderRevenue divided by Orders.
Average offer valueRevenue divided by Items sold.

Days follow your store's time zone. A change arrow compares with the period of the same length right before; it reads "new" when there was nothing before.

Offers that don't sell something track their own action instead of Added. The Conversion column and the offer's Results card show it as:

Offer typeWhat it shows besides Shown
Product upsell, Add-on checkbox, Item protection, BundleAdded (with the add rate), Revenue, Per visit, Orders, Revenue per order, Items sold, a chart and Top products
UpgradeUpgraded instead of Added, with the same revenue numbers. Revenue counts the upgraded item's full price, not only the extra the buyer paid.
Free giftClaimed (with the rate) and Orders with the gift
Progress barReached the goal. With Close the gap on, also Added (close the gap) and Revenue.

How fresh the numbers are

  • A new order shows up in the results within seconds.
  • Everything else can be up to 15 minutes old. On an offer's page, Updated 6 min ago tells you how old it is, and Refresh rebuilds it now. On the Checkout Offers (Beta) page, results reload when you change the date range.
  • With no results yet, a Live offer's page says "No results yet. They appear once buyers see this offer."

Alerts

The Checkout Offers (Beta) page shows a banner, "1 offer needs attention" or "2 offers need attention", with each offer and a Review link. Two alerts come from your results:

  • Discount didn't apply. "The discount didn't apply in N checkouts in the last 24 hours. Buyers saw the full price." It also shows as a banner on the offer's Results card. Check the Discount step: the discount may be off, or another discount may be taking its place.
  • Buyers couldn't add it. "Buyers couldn't add it in X of Y tries in the last 24 hours. Usually a product that sold out or was unpublished." It appears when at least 20 tries were made and more than 2% of them failed.

The third reason is a discount that needs attention. See Discounts on offers.

Order tag

Oxify adds the tag Oxify Checkout Offer in Shopify admin to every order that includes an item from a checkout offer. You can filter your orders by it. The app doesn't have a setting to change or turn off this tag.
