OTO localization
What is and isn't translated on the Thank-You / Order Status page, and how the buyer's language is used.
The Thank-You / Order Status widgets have no per-language versions. Each widget keeps one set of text per store and shows it exactly as you wrote it, whatever language the buyer is using.
How language is detected
The Oxify blocks read the language the buyer is browsing the page in (the Product recommendation block also reads their country) and send it to Oxify. Oxify uses it to:
- Evaluate funnel triggers that depend on language, such as Customer language (under Advanced triggers).
- Ask Shopify for the Product recommendation's variants, prices and availability in the buyer's language and country, so they follow your Shopify translations and markets.
What is not translated
- The text you enter in the widgets — Banner title and message, FAQ questions and answers, Rich text, Image alt text and Trust badge labels.
- The text you enter for the Product recommendation in the funnel — Title, Button label, Discount text and Free shipping text.
- The built-in messages in the pop-up that opens when a buyer adds an item (for example "Updating your order..." and "Proceed to payment") — they are always in English.
If you sell in several languages
Keep widget and funnel text short, and write it in the language most of your buyers use. Translating text per language is not available for these widgets.
Post-purchase offers (the funnels under Post Purchase) are different: their accept and decline buttons can be shown in 21 languages. See "Multi-language support in post-purchase".
