FAQ: Do my settings get deleted if I uninstall?
Oxify permanently deletes your stored settings about 48 hours after you uninstall.
Yes, but not immediately. Uninstalling only disconnects Oxify from your store. Your settings are permanently deleted about 48 hours later, when Shopify sends the request to erase your store's data.
What gets deleted

- Free gift reward tiers
- FBT offers
- Post-purchase funnels
- Thank-you widgets
- Analytics history
Product List Widgets, Checkout Offers, order records and your plan and billing record are deleted at the same time. Oxify doesn't remove things that live in your Shopify admin, such as discounts it created or snippets you pasted into your theme.
Reinstalling
- Before the deletion has run: the data Oxify still holds for your store is still there when you reinstall.
- After the deletion has run: reinstalling starts you fresh. Nothing can be restored.
Either way, after reinstalling you need to choose a plan again and turn the app embed back on.
Why about 48 hours
Shopify's mandatory privacy requests for apps include a request to erase a store's data, and Shopify sends it about 48 hours after an app is uninstalled. Oxify deletes your store's data when that request arrives.
If you're testing whether to keep Oxify, don't rely on uninstalling to pause it: once the deletion has run, your settings can't be recovered. To pause the cart drawer and keep everything, turn off the app embed instead.
