Choose who sees an offer
Show an offer to everyone or only to some buyers, using all or any conditions and never-show exceptions.
By default an offer shows to Everyone. To target it, add conditions in the offer's Who sees it step.
Add conditions
Open the offer and open its Who sees it step.
Choose Only some buyers. The step now reads "Show when all of these are true:". Change all to any if one matching condition should be enough.
Click Add condition and pick a condition from the list. The list has a Common section and a More⦠section. Fill in the form. A line under it shows how your rule reads, starting with Reads as:. Click Add condition in the window.
Optional: under Never show when:, click Add exception and add a condition. A buyer who matches an exception never sees the offer.
Click Save. To change a condition later, click Edit next to it. The x icon next to it removes it.
An offer set to Only some buyers needs at least one condition. Otherwise Oxify asks you to "Add at least one condition, or choose Everyone."
How the rules combine
- Never show when is checked first. If any exception matches, the offer is hidden, whatever else is true.
- all means every condition in the list must match. any means one is enough.
- Condition groups. Click Switch to advanced (condition groups) β to build several lists. The step then reads "Show when any group matches" or "all groups match", and each group has its own all or any. Click Add group for more, up to 10 groups. β Back to simple returns to one list once only one group is left.
- Limits. A list holds up to 20 conditions, and a condition holds up to 50 values, such as codes, countries or tags.
- Unknown means no match. When checkout can't tell something, the condition counts as not matching. It can't make an offer show, and it can't trigger a Never show when exception.
Variants of an A/B test share one audience. See A/B test an offer.

Good to know
- Amounts (cart total, total discount) are set in your store currency. For buyers who pay in another currency, checkout converts them at the store's current rate. If a rate isn't available, cart-total conditions simply don't match.
- Tags and segments are looked up for signed-in buyers when checkout loads, and checkout waits up to 2.5 seconds for the answer. If it doesn't arrive in time, the condition doesn't match, for has none of these tags and is in none of these segments as well.
- Shopify's checkout editor ignores Who sees it, so it can show offers that real buyers don't see.
- Offers with conditions come first. In a place or an offer group, offers that have a condition show before offers shown to everyone.
