Migrate from legacy to unified
One-click migration from legacy per-type discount functions to the unified function.
If you installed Oxify before the unified discount, your cart rewards run through three separate discounts — IA Cart - Free Gift Discount, IA Cart - Order Discount and IA Cart - Shipping Discount. Migrate to replace them with a single Oxify Cart Unified Discount, which also runs your FBT, volume and upsell discounts. (The Product Page Upsell (FBT) feature requires it.)
How to migrate
Oxify only offers the migration when your store still has the separate discounts:
- Open Product Page Upsell in the Oxify menu.
- On the Upgrade Required screen, click Migrate Now.
The migration:
- Reads your Cart Rewards settings from Oxify.
- Creates the Oxify Cart Unified Discount with them.
- Deletes the old IA Cart discounts.
- Shows "Migration failed. Please try again." if something goes wrong.
If Shopify's limit on automatic discounts stops the new discount from being created, Oxify removes the old ones and tries again.
Safe to repeat
Oxify skips stores that are already migrated, so running the migration twice is safe.
What gets migrated
- Free gift, discount and free shipping reward tiers — including market-specific tiers and per-currency goals
What gets written afterwards
FBT offers, volume discount rules and upsell-with-discount offers use the same unified discount. Oxify writes them to it whenever you save the Cart Editor or an FBT offer.
What doesn't change
- Manual discount codes you created in Shopify admin (those aren't Oxify-managed).
- Other apps' discounts (untouched).
- Your cart design and reward settings.
After migrating
Open the Cart Editor and click Save once. The migration copies your reward tiers, and saving writes everything else — such as Customer Tags to exclude from Rewards, your volume and upsell discount settings and the Discount Settings combination options — to the new discount.
Then test in an incognito window. Confirm a sample cart still gets the expected discounts. If the old IA Cart discounts are still listed under Discounts in Shopify admin, you can delete them.
