Cart upsells with discount

Manually-curated product recommendations shown inside the cart drawer with a discounted price. Hand-pick what to upsell — no algorithm.

Set it up

1. In the Oxify app, open Home and click Manage Cart Drawer on the Cart Drawer card (the button reads Set up Cart Drawer until the drawer is live). The Cart Editor opens.
2. In the Cart Editor Settings menu, select Upsells with Discount and click Enable.
3. Under Discount Upsell Configuration, click Configure Discount Upsells.
4. Click Add New Discount Upsell. For the new row, click Select Trigger, then Select Upsell, then set the discount.
5. Click Save in the popup, then save the cart editor with the Save button in the bar at the top.

Add as many rows as you need. When there is more than one row, use the arrows to reorder them.

Trigger

Click Select Trigger and choose when the upsell appears:

• All Products — the upsell is shown whenever the cart has an item.
• Specific Products — the upsell is shown only when one of the products you pick is in the cart (for example, show a socks upsell only when shoes are in the cart).

The picker also lists Specific Collection, but collection triggers are not matched for Upsells with Discount. Use All Products or Specific Products here.

Upsell products

Click Select Upsell and choose Specific Products (one or more) or Specific Collection (one collection). Products that are already in the cart are never offered, even if Show upsell even if item is already in cart is ticked.

Discount

For each row choose Percentage or Amount Off and enter a value greater than 0, for example 15 for 15%. The discount is applied by Oxify's unified discount function, so it applies natively at checkout. Oxify syncs it to your store when you save the cart editor; you don't create a discount in Shopify yourself.

The discount only applies while a trigger is in the cart. If the only trigger in the cart is the upsell product itself, only the units beyond the first are discounted.

Layout and display

• View Templates offers Block & Carousel and Grid Slider.
• With Block & Carousel, Display Direction is Carousel (one item at a time with arrows) or Block (all items stacked vertically).
• Upsell Position places the upsell Above Cart Items, Below Cart Items or At Absolute Bottom.
• Limit the number of upsells lets you cap how many are shown.
