Discounted upsells differ from cart upsells with a discount in one key way: the discount is built into the displayed price. No code, no automatic discount needed.
How it differs
- Cart upsells with discount — Show original price, then apply the discount via the unified discount function. Customer sees savings.
- Discounted upsells — Show only the already-discounted price. Cleaner display, "Add this for $X" framing.
When to use this
- "Add a sample for $5" — Round, attractive number is the entire pitch.
- "Bundle this candle for $19.99" — Same idea, different category.
- "Get this with your order for half price" without showing a strikethrough.
Setup
Configured in the same upsell flow as Cart upsells with discount. Toggle "Show original price" off to convert it into a Discounted upsell display.
