A dedicated function for free-shipping rewards.
A Shopify Function specifically for free-shipping rewards. Removes the shipping line at checkout when conditions are met.
When it fires
Whenever a free-shipping reward tier is unlocked. The function reads the reward configuration, checks if the cart qualifies (cart total ≥ threshold), and removes shipping from the order if so.
Why a dedicated function
Shopify treats shipping discounts as a separate category from product / order discounts. Having a dedicated shipping function ensures the discount is applied to the shipping line specifically — not the order subtotal.
Combinations
Free shipping combines natively with most product discounts. To enable combination with discount codes, configure in Discounts → (your shipping discount) → Combinations.
Auto-managed
Like the order discount function, this is deployed and managed automatically. No manual configuration needed.
