FAQs
FAQ: Why don't post-purchase offers show every time?
Not every order gets a post-purchase offer — Shopify decides which orders are eligible, and your funnel settings decide the rest.
Not every order shows a post-purchase offer — and that's expected. Some of it is Shopify's design, the rest comes down to your funnel settings.
What Shopify decides
Shopify only shows a post-purchase page on orders that qualify:
- Supported payment method — Some payment methods can't be used for post-purchase offers (for example certain digital wallets such as Apple Pay or Google Pay, buy-now-pay-later services, bank-transfer methods, PayPal, store credit, cash on delivery, or an order paid entirely with a gift card). Those orders skip post-purchase.
- Supported order type — Orders placed outside your Online Store (such as POS or draft orders), local delivery or pickup orders, orders in a currency other than your store's default, and orders with duties don't get one either.
- Oxify is the selected app — Only one app is used for the post-purchase page. Make sure Oxify Post Purchase is selected under Post-purchase page in your Shopify checkout settings.
- Buyer didn't leave early — If the buyer closes the page before the offer loads, no offer renders.
Shopify lists the current limitations in its product offers documentation.
What this means for you
Don't expect post-purchase impressions to match your order count one-to-one — some orders can never get an offer, and that's normal.
Compare to Oxify-side filtering
Separately, Oxify may skip an offer or a whole funnel when:
- No active funnel's triggers match the order — only one funnel is used per order.
- Hide offer if product is in original order is on and the buyer already bought that product.
- Hide entire product when out of stock is on and every variant is out of stock.
- An Automatic upsell offer finds no related product.
- The offer takes longer than about 8 seconds to prepare, so the buyer goes straight to the thank-you page.
Most of these are configurable in your funnel.
