Migrate to the unified discount function

What changed

Older versions of Oxify created a separate automatic discount for each kind of cart reward — IA Cart - Free Gift Discount, IA Cart - Order Discount and IA Cart - Shipping Discount — each running its own Shopify Function.

The current setup uses a single automatic discount, Oxify Cart Unified Discount, that runs all your cart rewards in one Shopify Function. Your Frequently Bought Together, volume and upsell-with-discount discounts use the same discount, and it takes one of the 25 automatic discount slots Shopify allows per store instead of three.

How to migrate

Migration is one click. Oxify only asks for it if your store still has the older separate discounts:

1. Open Product Page Upsell in the Oxify menu.
2. On the Upgrade Required screen, click Migrate Now.
3. Wait for "Migration successful! Refreshing..." — the page reloads.

Your existing Cart Rewards settings are preserved, and the old IA Cart discounts are replaced with the unified one. (The Product Page Upsell (FBT) feature requires the unified discount.) If you don't see the Upgrade Required screen, there is nothing to migrate.

After migrating

Open the Cart Editor and click Save once. The migration copies your reward tiers, and saving writes everything else — such as Customer Tags to exclude from Rewards and the Discount Settings combination options — to the new discount.

Then test in an incognito window: confirm rewards still apply at checkout exactly as before. If the old IA Cart discounts are still listed under Discounts in Shopify admin, you can delete them.

If the migration shows "Migration failed. Please try again.", try again. If it keeps failing, contact support and include the message you see.
