Add-ons (shipping protection and product add-ons)

Optional toggle extras in the cart — shipping protection, gift wrap, warranties, batteries.

Optional extras shown directly in the cart drawer. Each add-on has a toggle switch: one tap adds the product to the order, and switching it off removes it.

Add an add-on

In the Oxify app, open Home and click Manage Cart Drawer on the Cart Drawer card (the button reads Set up Cart Drawer until the drawer is live). The Cart Editor opens.
In the Cart Editor Settings menu, select Add Ons. If the module is off, click Enable.
In Add Ons Settings, click Add Add-on.
Choose Shipping Protection or Product Add On and click Select.
Fill in the details described below and click Save.
Save the cart editor with the Save button in the bar at the top.

To change an add-on later, delete it with the trash icon in Add Ons Settings and add it again.

Choose Shipping Protection, then set the Add-on Title, Add-on Subtitle and an optional Custom Image Url. You don't pick a product: when you save, Oxify creates the protection product in your store for you and publishes it to your Online Store.

Under Shipping protection pricing tiers, set the price by Total cart value. Use New tier to add tiers, up to 5:

The first tier starts at 0.00. Every tier except the last has an upper cart value, and that upper value is inclusive.
Each upper value must be higher than the one before it.
The last tier is and above.

For example:

$0.99 for carts up to $50
$1.99 for carts up to $100
$2.99 for carts above $100

The price the customer sees is the price of the tier that matches the cart total.

Oxify only creates the product that represents shipping protection. It does not provide any shipping protection service itself. Because it is a regular product in your store, you may want to hide its Add to Cart button with a custom product template. The banner in the editor links to Shopify's guide.

Product add-ons

Any product can be an add-on. Choose Product Add On, click Select Product and tick the variants to offer (at least one). You can also set an Add-on Custom Title, an Add-on Custom Subtitle and a Custom Image Url. If you pick more than one variant, choose the Default variant. The customer can switch variants from a dropdown in the cart.

In the cart

Each add-on shows its image, title, subtitle, price and the toggle. An add-on is hidden when its product is sold out, or when the same product is already in the cart as a regular item.

Advanced settings

Include addons in cart item count — the add-on's amount and count also count towards your reward goals.

Default state

Add-ons start switched off, and customers opt in with the toggle. Accept offer by default (pre-selected add-ons) is marked Deprecated and is greyed out for new add-ons. Shopify prohibits apps from automatically adding non-free items, so buyers have to switch an add-on on themselves.
