Volume discount collection theme setup
Add the one-time snippet to your theme so collection-based volume discounts show in the cart.
When a Volume Discount tier targets Specific Collections, the cart needs to know which collection each item belongs to. A one-time snippet in your theme provides that. Without it the steps don't show in the cart, but the discount still applies at checkout. Oxify only reads your theme, so you paste the snippet yourself.
For the rest of volume discounts, see Volume discounts.
Add the snippet
Open the Cart Editor (Home → the Cart Drawer card → Manage Cart Drawer), click Volume Discount, and open a tier whose Target Type is Specific Collections.
In the banner (Theme setup required), click View setup steps. The window Theme setup — Volume discount collections checks your theme.
Click Open layout/theme.liquid. Your published theme's code editor opens on that file.
Click Copy under Snippet to paste. Paste it on a new line just before the closing </body> tag. The window shows roughly which line that is.
Save the file in the theme editor.
Back in Oxify, click Re-check, then Done.
What Oxify checks
- Only your published theme. If your storefront uses a different theme, paste the snippet there instead.
- Only
layout/theme.liquid. The check passes if the file contains the snippet's text. It doesn't test that the snippet is in the right place.
Confirm it worked
- After Re-check, the window shows Theme setup detected and the banner turns to a success message.
- The banner does not scan by itself. It shows Theme setup required until you open View setup steps, even if the snippet is already installed.
- On your storefront, add a product from the selected collection to the cart. The volume steps should appear under the item. The snippet tags items as they are added, so remove and re-add items that were in the cart before you pasted it.
If the window shows Could not scan theme, click Re-check again.
After switching themes
The snippet lives in the theme, so paste it again into the new published theme. See After switching themes.
