Cart behavior settings

Cart behavior controls how the drawer opens and closes on your storefront. There is no separate "Behavior" screen — these options live under Cart Editor → Settings, in the Cart Settings and Other Settings cards.

Slide direction

Cart Slide Direction (in Cart Settings) chooses where the drawer slides in from:

• Right (default)
• Left — Better for right-to-left languages such as Arabic or Hebrew, and useful if your theme has a right-side floating element.

There is no bottom slide-in option.

Open cart drawer on add to cart

The Open cart drawer on add to cart checkbox (in Other Settings) is on by default. While it's on, the drawer opens as soon as a shopper adds a product, so they see their cart and any unlocked rewards immediately. Turn it off if you'd rather keep shoppers on the page, ideally together with the notification below.

Notification on add to cart

Show notification on add to cart (in Other Settings, off by default) shows a small pop-up each time a product is added. It works with or without the drawer opening, and clicking the notification opens the drawer. Options:

• Notification Title (default "Added to Cart") and Notification Description (default "The product has been added to your cart"), each with its own font size, weight, and text color
• Duration (seconds) — default 5
• Notification Position — Top Right (default), Top Left, Bottom Right, or Bottom Left
• Notification Background Color

Closing the drawer

Shoppers can close the drawer with the close icon in the header or by clicking the dimmed area outside it. The optional Continue Shopping link (Show continue shopping button? in Other Settings, on by default) also closes it. These have no settings of their own.

Fixed behavior

• While the drawer is open, the page behind it can't be scrolled.
• The slide animation has a fixed duration (0.3 seconds); there is no animation-speed setting.
