How to Give Oxify Collaborator Access to Your Store
If you've installed Oxify and want our team to help with setup or troubleshooting, here's how to give us collaborator access to your Shopify store.
If you've installed Oxify and want our team to help with setup or fix something specific, we'll need collaborator access to your Shopify store. This guide walks you through giving us that access. Takes about 2 minutes.
The short version: we send a collaborator request from our Shopify Partner account → you accept it from your Shopify admin.
What you'll need
- Access to your Shopify admin as the store owner (not a staff account).
- About 2 minutes.
Good news: because Oxify is already installed on your store, we don't need a 4-digit collaborator request code from you. Shopify lets app developers send collaborator requests without one when the app is already installed — so we can send the request right away.
Step 1: Wait for the email from Shopify
We send the collaborator request from our Shopify Partner account. You'll get notified two ways:
- An email from Shopify titled something like "A Partner has requested access to your store". The email comes from
noreply@shopify.com, not from us directly. - A notification in your Shopify Home dashboard — visible the next time you log in.
If you don't see the email within a few minutes, check spam. Shopify's no-reply emails sometimes land there.

Step 2: Open the request
You can open the request from either the email or your admin:
From the email: click Review request.
From your admin: go to Settings → Users (in older admins this is called Users and permissions). You'll see our pending request listed at the top.
When you open it, Shopify shows you:
- Who's requesting access — our Oxify Partner organization name.
- A list of permissions we're asking for, with checkboxes next to each.
- An optional message we may have included explaining what we're going to do.

Step 3: Approve the permissions
For Oxify setup and troubleshooting, we typically request these permissions:
- Apps — To open the Oxify app and adjust your settings.
- Themes — To check that the app embed is enabled and the cart drawer is rendering correctly.
- Products — To verify free gifts, FBT bundles, and upsells are pointing to the right products.
- Discounts — To check that the Shopify Functions powering free gifts and FBT are deployed correctly.
- Orders — Only requested if your issue involves post-purchase upsells, FBT discounts, or troubleshooting on real orders.
You can uncheck any permission you're not comfortable with, but it may limit what we can help you with — so if you're unsure, leave the defaults selected. They're scoped to what we actually need, nothing extra.
When the permissions look right, click Accept request at the bottom.

Step 4: Let us know it's done
Reply to our message confirming you've accepted. We'll log in, do what we agreed on, and report back when we're finished.
You can also confirm we have access from your end: go to Settings → Users and look under Collaborators. If you see Oxify listed there, we're in.
How to revoke access when we're done
When the work is finished — or any time you want to remove our access:
- Go to Settings → Users in your Shopify admin.
- Find Oxify in the Collaborators section.
- Click on the user, then click Remove access.
That's it. We immediately lose the ability to log into your store. Removing collaborator access does not uninstall the app — those are two separate things. Your Oxify settings, rewards, FBT offers, and post-purchase funnels all stay intact.
Shopify also auto-expires collaborator access if we haven't logged in for 90 days, so even if you forget to revoke, the access won't sit around forever.
