Translate timer text
Add a version of your timer's text for each of your store's languages.
If your store sells in more than one language, you can translate your timer's text so each visitor reads it in their own. Translations are added per field, using the translation icon beside it.
Add a translation
Open the timer and go to the Content tab.
Find the field you want to translate — for example Title.
Click the translation icon next to the field.
Select a language and type the translated text.
Repeat for each language you sell in.
Close the modal, then click Save on the timer.
Closing the translation modal isn't enough — you have to save the timer itself afterwards, or the translations are lost.
Which fields can be translated
- Title
- Subheading
- Button Text
- Timer labels — Days, Hours, Minutes, and Seconds each translate separately
Translating the timer labels
The labels matter more than they look. Days / Hours / Minutes / Seconds in English needs to become Jours / Heures / Minutes / Secondes in French, or your countdown reads as half-translated.
On the Content tab, find the Timer labels section.
Click the translation icon next to each label field.
Add the version for each language.
Click Save.
Tip
Short label translations save you trouble. Many languages have longer words for "Minutes" and "Seconds" than English does, and four long labels under four digit blocks will wrap on a phone. Abbreviations work well here.
What happens if a translation is missing
The timer falls back to the main-language text. Nothing breaks — the visitor just sees the untranslated version.
Testing
Save and publish the timer.
Open your storefront and switch language using your store's language selector.
Confirm the title, subheading, labels, and button all read correctly.
