Spacing

Control the padding inside the timer and the margin around it.

The Spacing card on the Design tab has four values — two for space inside the timer, two for space around it.

The four settings

SettingWhat it controls
Inside TopPadding between the top edge of the timer and its content
Inside BottomPadding between the content and the bottom edge
Outside TopMargin between the timer and whatever sits above it
Outside BottomMargin between the timer and whatever sits below it

Inside values make the timer itself taller. Outside values push the timer away from the surrounding page.

Adjust the spacing

Open the timer and go to the Design tab.

Find the Spacing card.

Set Inside Top and Inside Bottom to give the content room to breathe.

Set Outside Top and Outside Bottom to separate the timer from the page.

Click Save and check the preview.

Padding around the digits

Spacing controls the timer as a whole. To adjust the space inside each digit block, set Timer Style to Block and use the Vertical padding and Horizontal padding fields that appear there.

See Timer style.

Tip

Fix the inside spacing first so the timer looks right on its own, then adjust the outside spacing so it sits correctly in the page. Doing it the other way round means re-tuning both.

Generous vertical padding on a sticky bar costs the visitor screen space on every page. Keep a sticky bar tight, especially on mobile.
