Timer labels
Rename the Days, Hours, Minutes, and Seconds captions under the digits.
Timer labels are the small words underneath each pair of digits. By default they read Days, Hours, Minutes, and Seconds — you can change them to anything, and translate each one.
Edit the labels
Open the timer and go to the Content tab.
Find the Timer labels section.
Edit the Days, Hours, Minutes, and Seconds fields.
Click Save.

Short labels are worth considering on a top/bottom bar, where horizontal space is tight — 2d 14h 06m 32s fits where the full words wrap.
Translate the labels
Each label can be translated separately. Click the translation icon next to a label field and add a version per language.

Where labels appear
Timer labels are available on product page, top/bottom bar, and landing page timers. Cart page timers don't have them — their countdown renders inline inside the title via the {timer} token, with no captions.
Styling the labels
Label size and color are set separately from the digits, under Design → Typography → Legend size and color, with its own mobile size.

Tip
Keep the labels visually quieter than the digits — smaller and lower contrast. The numbers are the thing that should draw the eye.
