Troubleshooting

Bar not rotating or scrolling

Fix a rotating bar that stays on one message, or a running line that doesn't move.

A rotating bar isn't cycling

Open the announcement and go to the Content tab.

Confirm Announcement Type is Multiple rotating announcements.

Confirm Auto rotate multiple announcement text is ticked. Without it, the bar shows the first message and stays there.

Confirm you have more than one announcement in the set. One announcement has nothing to rotate to.

Check Announcement display duration is set — the allowed range is 2 to 20 seconds.

Click Save and reload your storefront.

A running line isn't scrolling

Confirm Announcement Type is Running line announcement.

Check Scroll duration (seconds) has a value between 1 and 50.

Confirm at least one Title has text in it.

Click Save and reload your storefront.

It scrolls too fast or too slow

Scroll duration is the time the text takes to cross the screen, so a higher number is slower. If the text is flying past, raise the value — 8 to 12 is a comfortable reading speed.

The messages run into each other

Increase Gap between two text so there's clear space between repeats.

Custom CSS is interfering

If you've added Custom CSS that touches animation, transform, or positioning, it can stop the scroll or the rotation. Clear the Custom CSS field temporarily and test again.

Tip

Check your browser console for JavaScript errors from other apps. A script error from an unrelated app can stop the animation from ever starting.
