Create your first announcement
Build a working announcement bar end to end in a few minutes.
Every announcement is built across three tabs — Content, Design, and Placement. This walkthrough takes you through all three once.
Create it
On the dashboard, click Create Announcement.
Pick the bar type: Top/Bottom Bar, then click Select this bar type.
Enter an Announcement name. This is only visible to you — it's for your own reference.
Content tab
Choose an Announcement Type: Simple announcement, Running line announcement, or Multiple rotating announcements. See Choose an announcement type.
Fill in the Title. This is required.
Optionally add a Subheading (Simple announcements only).
Set the Call to action — No Call to action, Button, or Make entire bar clickable — and enter the Call to action URL.
Set Scheduling if the bar should start or stop at a set time. Leave it as Right now / Never for an always-on bar.
Click Continue to Design.
Design tab
Under Positioning, set Position to Top Page or Bottom Page, and turn on Sticky bar if it should stay visible while scrolling.
Pick a Template to apply a full color and typography preset in one click. Dawn is the default.
Adjust Card Design, Typography, and Button to match your brand.
Check the live preview at the top of the page as you go.
Click Continue to Placement.
Placement tab
Under Select pages to display the bar, choose where the bar appears. Every page is the default.
Set Device targeting — All devices, Desktop only, or Mobile only.
Set Geolocation targeting — Whole World, or Specific countries.
Save and publish
Click Save.
Click Publish in the top bar. The status changes to Published.
Open your storefront in a new tab and confirm the bar appears.
If the bar doesn't appear, the app embed is almost always the reason. Check Enable the app embed first.
