Let visitors dismiss the announcement bar.
The close icon lets visitors dismiss the bar. Once closed, it stays hidden for that visitor — the app remembers the dismissal in their browser storage.
Turn it on
Open the announcement and go to the Content tab.
Scroll to the bottom of Announcement Settings.
Tick Show Close Icon.
Click Save.
Change the icon color
Go to the Design tab.
Find the Icons card.
Set Close icon color to a color that contrasts with your bar background.
Click Save.

Tip
Because the dismissal is stored in the visitor's browser, testing is easier in an incognito window — otherwise you'll keep seeing your own dismissed bar.
If a critical message must always be visible, leave the close icon off. A dismissed bar does not come back on its own.
