Views, clicks, and click rate

Read your announcement performance and use it to improve your bars.

The app tracks how many times each bar was seen and clicked, so you can tell which messages actually work.

See the 7-day summary

Open Oxify Announcement Bar in your Shopify admin.

On the Home page, find the Analytics (Last 7 days) card.

It shows three figures, each with a badge comparing it against the previous 7 days:

MetricWhat it counts
Total ViewsHow many times your bars were displayed
Total ClicksHow many times visitors clicked a bar or its button
Click RateClicks divided by views, as a percentage

An up arrow means the number improved versus the previous week; a down arrow means it fell.

Scroll to the Announcements table on the Home page.

Read the Views and Clicks columns for each announcement.

This is where you compare bars against each other and find the one that's carrying the campaign.

What a click rate is telling you

PatternLikely causeWhat to try
High views, very low clicksThe offer isn't compelling, or the CTA isn't obviousRewrite the title; raise the button contrast
Low viewsPlacement or targeting is too narrowWiden the placement, or check the bar is published
Click rate falling week over weekRegulars have stopped noticing itRefresh the message or rotate in a new offer
Clicks but no salesThe CTA lands on the wrong pagePoint the link straight at the promoted product or collection

Improving a bar

Note the current click rate as your baseline.

Change one thing — the title, the button text, or the button color.

Leave it running for at least a week.

Compare the new click rate against your baseline.

Change one variable at a time. If you rewrite the copy and recolor the button together, you won't know which one moved the number.

Tip

Deleting an announcement deletes its analytics history. If a bar has performed well and you want to keep the record, unpublish it instead.
