Add product categories
Group the products customers can choose from into browsable tabs.
Categories become the tabs across the top of your builder. Each one holds the products a customer can pick from.
Create a category
Open your builder and go to the Products tab.
Click Add Category.
Enter a Name of the category — for example Candles.
Click Create category and select products.
Search for and tick your products in the Shopify picker, then confirm.
Click Save.
Products appear as cards with image, title, price, and expandable variant details.
Add products to an existing category
Click + Add Products inside the category and pick more. An empty category prompts you with No products added yet.
Manage categories
Use the Category options menu on each category:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Rename | Change the category name. |
| Delete | Removes the category and all its products from the builder. |
| Expand / Collapse | Show or hide the products inside. |
You can also drag a category by its handle to change the order it appears in as a tab, and remove a single product with the remove button on its card.
Deleting a category doesn't touch your Shopify products — it just removes them from this builder.
How many products per category?
There's no hard limit, but 20 or fewer per category keeps the page usable. Past that, customers scroll instead of choosing.
If you have more, split them into more categories — Citrus candles and Floral candles beats one long list.
Name categories the way customers think
Candles, Soaps, Bath bombs — concrete and scannable. Avoid internal language like SKU group A or Tier 2 items.
