The Settings tab
What each control on the Settings tab does: names, bundle image, cart-line mode, bundle SKU, and the Unique ID and embed code.
The Settings tab is the first tab in the builder editor. (Some screenshots in these guides still show its old name, Builder Settings.) It has two sections: General Settings and Bundle Builder ID.
General Settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Block Name | Your internal name for the builder. It shows in the editor's title and in your Bundle Builders list. Customers never see it. |
| Bundle Name | What the cart and checkout show for the bundle. |
| Bundle Image | An optional picture for the bundle's cart line. Upload Bundle Image lets you choose or upload one. Once there's an image the button reads Change Bundle Image, and Remove image clears it. |
If the image file is later deleted from Shopify, the app clears it from this field when you open the tab. Upload a new one and save.
Advanced settings
Click Advanced settings under the image to show two checkboxes. Both are off by default.
| Checkbox | What it does |
|---|---|
| Show products as individual lines in the cart | Off (default): the whole bundle is one line in the cart, with your Bundle Name, Bundle Image and the discounted price. On: each product gets its own cart line, and the bundle discount is applied to each line separately. |
| Add the bundle SKU to each product in the order | Adds a Bundle SKU property to every product in the bundle, visible on the order, packing slips and pick lists. The SKU comes from the bundle's parent product — see Turn on the bundle SKU. If the parent product has no SKU yet, the checkbox tells you to publish once and add one in Shopify. |
With individual lines on, the Bundle Name and Bundle Image have no single line to appear on: the cart lists each product with its own name and image. The discount is then applied by the app's Oxify Bundle Discount automatic discount, and some themes' carts don't show automatic discounts — so check the checkout total. With the checkbox off, the discount is simply part of the bundle line's price. How box discounts are calculated covers both, and Discount not applying at checkout helps when it goes wrong.
Using Subscribe & Save?
Subscribe & Save needs individual lines. While the builder uses the default single line, shoppers don't see the checkbox — Shopify can't merge cart lines that carry a subscription plan. The Subscriptions card on the Design tab has a Switch to individual product lines button that ticks this setting for you — click Save afterwards.
Bundle Builder ID
Until the builder has been published, this section only reads Publish the bundle builder first to generate the embed code. After that it shows:
| Item | What it is |
|---|---|
| Unique ID | An 8-digit number generated the first time you publish. It never changes. Click the clipboard icon beside it to copy it — you'll see Unique ID copied to clipboard. |
| Embed Code | A ready-made div with your Unique ID in it. Copy Embed Code copies it — you'll see Embed code copied to clipboard! |
Use the Unique ID in the theme app block's Bundle Builder Unique ID field, and the embed code anywhere you can paste HTML. See Add with the theme app block and Add with the embed code.
The parent product banner
If the builder's hidden parent product is deleted from your Shopify products, a This bundle's parent product was deleted banner appears at the top of this tab. Save the published builder and the app recreates it. See Publish your builder.
