Subscription bundles
Add a Subscribe & Save option to your offer so shoppers can subscribe or buy once.
The Subscriptions card adds a Subscribe & Save choice to your offer. Shoppers pick between subscribing — on a delivery frequency from your subscription plans — and buying once. Your tier discount applies either way, and when they subscribe the plan's own discount is applied on top.
Before you start
The option is built on Shopify subscription plans, so you need:
- A subscription app that has created at least one plan (a selling plan). The app's own hint for creating one is Products → ⋯ → Subscriptions in your Shopify admin.
- The product added to that plan.
- A discount on the plan. Plans with no price adjustment aren't offered.
A product without a plan shows no subscription option at all.
Turn it on
Open your bundle and go to the Offers tab. If you started from the Subscription Bundles template, the card is already switched on.
Find the Subscriptions card, switch it on, and click its title to expand it.
Pick a Layout with the three tiles: a single tick-box card, two cards side by side, or two cards stacked with radio buttons.
Set the Position: Above bundle deals or Below bundle deals.
Write the Subscribe title and Subscribe subtitle. A new bundle starts with Subscribe & Save 20% and Delivered weekly.
In the two-card layouts, also write the One-time title and One-time subtitle. A new bundle starts with One-time purchase. The tick-box layout has no one-time card, so these fields are hidden there.
Tick or untick Make subscription option selected by default. It's ticked in a new bundle.
Click Save.
Delivery frequency
By default the first plan is pre-selected, and once a shopper chooses to subscribe they get a dropdown to switch plans.
To lock one frequency for everyone, tick Pre-set delivery frequency and choose a Delivery frequency from the list of your plans. The dropdown is then hidden and every subscription uses that plan. If the plan you picked isn't on a product, that product shows no subscription option.
Highlights on the subscription option
Tick Add highlights to the subscription option to list benefits such as Skip or cancel anytime, shown under the subscription option only — never under one-time purchase.

Style it
On the Design tab, the Subscription group in Colors sets the title and subtitle colors, and the Subscriptions section in Typography sets the Subscription Title and Subscription Subtitle font size and style.
The titles, subtitles and, while Add highlights to the subscription option is ticked, the highlight lines can be translated on the Translations page.
If the option doesn't appear
In the editor preview the box always shows. On your store, check that:
- The Subscriptions card is switched on and saved.
- The product is on a plan, and the plan has a discount.
- If Pre-set delivery frequency is ticked, the plan you chose is on this product.
