Add a section to your theme
Install a section you own into any theme in your store.
Install the section
Go to My Sections.
Find the section you want to install.
Click Add To Theme on the section card.
The Publish Section window opens. Under Choose Theme, pick a theme — each one is listed as name - (role), so your live theme shows as (MAIN).
Click Add to theme. The button shows Publishing... while it works.
Wait for the message Section added to theme successfully!.
If you change your mind
Click Cancel in the window to close it without installing anything.
Then place it on a page
Installing copies the section file into your theme. To make it visible, open the theme editor and add it to a page.
The section is not live yet
A newly installed section does not appear on your storefront until you place it on a page in the theme editor and click Save.
If you see a manual install message
Some stores can't be written to automatically. The window then shows the section file name and a Copy section code button — see Install a section manually.
